Šabac - Workshop "Use of administrative data sources in the production of agricultural statistics"

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia organized a three-day workshop for users of statistical data in Šabac (19.02-21.02.2025) entitled "Use of administrative data sources in the production of agricultural statistics", as part of the post-census activities of the IPA 2018 project.

The workshop brought together representatives of the most important institutions - users of agricultural statistics data: Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Institute for the Application of Science in Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency and others.

The aim of this workshop was to familiarize participants-users of statistical data with the use of administrative data sources in the production of agricultural statistics, the processes of downloading data from external administrative sources and the automation of these processes, as well as with future tasks and challenges in agricultural statistics. In this regard, the workshop particularly emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation between all institutions in order to provide the necessary data for national and international needs in this statistical area.
